High in the sky!
Printing and high-tech in dialogue
The artist Christoph Niemann has, for the first time, made the cover of “The New Yorker” come alive with augmented reality. Anyone holding their mobile over the magazine experiences three-dimensional skyscrapers and sees people moving. David Schwarz, graphic designer from Hauser, Schwarz and lecturer at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, and Anette Gehrig, director of the Cartoonmuseum Basel, discuss this fascinating possibility of blending the printed and the programmed.
