The exhibitions at the Cartoonmuseum Basel are complemented by workshops, guided tours as well as talks and presentations, all focusing on current issues and shed light on the artists’ social and historical context. We often invite the exhibiting artists or other cartoonists to talk about their current projects and engage in a conversation with the visitors.

  • Guided tour through the current exhibition

    If your visit to the exhibition has sparked your desire to learn more about the art of drawing and the theme of the exhibition, the art mediation team at Cartoonmuseum Basel offers interactive guided tours and workshops. Everything offered can also be booked outside normal opening hours.

  • Wednesday morning talks

    The Wednesday morning talks are a series of events that focus on contemporary issues or historico-cultural contexts.
    Invited comics artists and caricaturists or the exhibited artists often participate as guests.

  • Sunday and Curator-guided tours

    Regular guided tours of the exhibition are provided by our art mediators or by the curator in person.

    Are you organising an event for a small or larger group? Would you like a reception in one of the formats we offer, or do you wish to arrange such a gathering with one of our catering partners?
