Science meets art! Workshops for bright minds
After a short input from a researcher on the topics of "Sound and Image", everyone grabs a pencil and starts drawing and experimenting in an inspired way. These thematic workshops in collaboration with the IBSA Foundation for scientific research are aimed at school classes, are limited to a few dates and are free of charge.

The attempt to translate sounds and noises into graphics is evident throughout the oeuvre of Richard McGuire. Ali Latif-Shushtari, physicist and composer, and Malin Widén, art mediator and illustrator, will respond to McGuire’s works from their different scientific and artistic perspectives, and look for similarities and differences between disciplines. After an introductory section presented by both workshop leaders, we will learn more about the physics of waves and sounds from researcher Ali Latif-Shushtari – and pick up a pencil to experiment, with the support of art mediator Malin Widén.

Duration: 120 minutes
Age: From 12 years
