The exhibition “Ulli Lust. Too Much Is Not Enough” at Cartoonmuseum Basel is the first retrospective on one of the most important contemporary female comics artists worldwide. Born in 1967 in Vienna, this artist, who now lives in Berlin, became famous for her celebrated and multi-award-winning autobiographical graphic novel “Today is the Last Day of the Rest of Your Life”. Her oeuvre ranges from children’s books and ironic observations of urban milieus to erotic fantasy stories, through to a comic adaptation of the Marcel Beyer novel “The Karnau Tapes”. Her fabulous new book “Wie ich versuchte, ein guter Mensch zu sein” (How I Tried to be a Good Person) tells of her love for a refugee from Nigeria.
